Overview
The Corporate Communications & Public Relations Specialist will be responsible for supporting Evolve Business Advisory’s numerous brands and partner companies with internal and external communications that represent the brands or companies in a professional manner. The incumbent will develop statements for oral and written communication that will instill confidence in our stakeholders; he/she will also build key relationships with external resources to enhance visibility and brand awareness through creative campaigns and managing media relations.

Objectives

Prepare oral, written and social media communication; post accordingly for respective teams/brands

Liaise with various business units and Evolve brands to obtain positioning statement information

Provide support to Senior Leadership with written communications and escalated correspondence

Write and edit press releases and other materials

Update and maintain media lists

Secure print and online coverage through targeted media outreach

Maintain clear communication and positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Support rapid response processes to ensure the company anticipates and/or responds effectively to any situation requiring an urgent response

Stay on top of industry issues, as well as relevant industry, market and competitor news; be ready to respond quickly

Proactively seek information regarding trends, references in media in order to be prepared for any incoming inquiries
Qualifications

Degree or diploma in communications, journalism or a related field
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in progressively responsible corporate communications and/or public relations positions with a minimum of 2 years of experience in managing media relations and communications projects

The incumbent must be enthusiastic, creative and committed to using effective communications as a strategy to achieve business success

Ability to function under pressure and manage tight and changing deadlines

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships

Strong communications skills both written and verbal
-
Must be highly driven, energetic and well versed in today’s social media landscape in order to succeed in our fast-paced dynamic environment
